Bob participated in a new approach to science outreach - "2 Scientists Walk into a Bar". Organized by the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park, on Thursday March 20, 2014 50 scientists deployed to 25 bars across San Diego County to speak to the public - "I'm a Scientist, Ask Me Anything". Bob was at the Regal Beagle, 3659 India St., San Diego from 7 - 9 PM. #2scientists
Bob has joined the Center for Aerosol Impacts on Climate and the Environment (CAICE), an NSF CCI-II multidisciplinary center directed by Prof. Kim Prather here at UCSD, as a senior investigator. The instrumentation development project funded by the NSF - the Aerosol Impact Machine - will contribute to CAICE's goals of understanding the chemistry of aerosols formed by atmosphere - ocean interactions. September 2013.
